Following a disappointing season-opening loss to Carolina Forest, Socastee got back on the winning track Thursday night with a 49-21 victory over West Brunswick (N.C.).
The Braves, whose triple-option attack was limited to 162 rushing yards and one touchdown in last week’s 34-7 loss to Carolina Forest, got back to doing what they do best against the border rivals.
The Braves (1-1) ran at will over the Trojans defense, building a 40-7 halftime lead and then calling off the dogs in the second.
Socastee travels to Ashley Ridge next week in hopes of posting a winning record.
