Carolina Forest won four singles matches Monday to take a 5-2 victory over visiting St. James.
Carolina Forest’s No. 2 Lydia Gouhin, No. 3 Jessica Todd, No. 4 Jackie Ogg and No. 5 Lanie Ruedy won their respective singles matches, with Todd and Ogg needing tiebreakers to win.
After Gouhin got a tight 7-5, 6-4 victory over Mariana Wilson, Todd got a 6-0, 2-6 10-8 win over Taylor Seagle and Ogg stopped Hunt by a 5-7, 6-4, 10-6 scores.
St. James senior Jessi Campos didn’t lose a game in her singles and doubles victories. She swept her No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-0 over Taylor Fary, then teamed up with Seagle for an 8-0 win in No. 1 singles over Fary and Thompson. St. James forfeited No. 2 doubles.
