Clemson snaps in-state losing skid against Furman

Clemson ended its streak of futility against in-state foes on Friday night, defeating Furman 59-49 at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Milton Jennings had 22 points and 14 rebounds as Clemson shook off the visiting Paladins in the second half  to snap a two-game losing streak against S.C. opponents. Coastal Carolina and The College of Charleston defeated the Tigers earlier this week.
The Tigers (3-2) overcame a slow start to pull ahead with a 9-0 second-half run. Tied at 28-28 two minutes into the second half, Clemson scored the next nine points. Andre Young hit two 3-pointers during the run and a Jennings layup with 14:28 to go gave the Tigers a 37-28 advantage.

The Tigers trailed 22-14 with 6:50 left in the first half. Clemson scored 10 of the next 12 points to make it 24-24 at halftime.

Young hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points.

Bryant Irwin led Furman (3-2) with 13 points.
