The St. James boys and girls basketball teams remained unbeaten in Region VIII-AAA play with victories over visiting Georgetown on Friday night.
The Sharks (7-6 overall, 2-0 Region VIII-AAA) escaped with a one-point victory over the Bulldogs, while the Lady Sharks (13-3, 2-0) cruised to a 58-44 win to deal Georgetown its second loss of the season.
St. James’ Caleb Duggan scored a game-high 32 points as the Sharks exploded for 23 points in the fourth quarter. Teammate Tyrrell Dukes added 10 points.
For the Lady Sharks, Stephanie Roberts scored 11 points, Brianha Dickerson chipped in 10 and Monica Smalls added nine.
St. James travels to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night.
