The Grand Strand Juniors volleyball club sent 14 teams to Charlotte last weekend to compete in the Palmetto Regional Championships.
With teams ranging in age from under 12 to 18 and under, GSJ’s squad took on volleyball clubs from all over South Carolina during the three-day event.
GSJ had five teams win the Open Silver Championships for their respective age groups and place in the top five over, led by a fourth-place finish for the 12U Purple among the 28 teams.
Bringing home fifth-place showings and Open Silver Championships were the 18U Nfinity, 17U Nfinity, 16U Nfinity and 14U Nfinity, which had 48 teams competing in its division.
Grand Strand Juniors’ squads are comprised of players from all over the Grand Strand, with players representing almost every local high school Varsity/JV team.
