Tuesday was a bad day for Conway against region rival West Florence, dropping baseball and soft ball games as well as two soccer matches to the Knights.
Visiting West Florence dealt the Tigers a 6-2 defeat on the baseball diamond, handing the Tigers’ their first Region VIII-AAA loss of the season. Conway led 2-1 entering the sixth inning, when the Knights erupted for five runs in the frame.
The Lady Tigers didn’t fare any better on the diamond, dropping a 4-0 decision to the Lady Knights. Conway was held to only three hits in the game, including doubles by Kady Edwards and Coker Edge.
The Conway soccer teams traveled to Florence to take on the Knights and both came away empty-handed. The West Florence girls scored a 3-0 win over the Lady Tigers, while the Knights took a 4-1 decision over the Conway boys.
All four Tiger teams will have a shot at redemption in region play on Wednesday when they face Sumter
