Carolina Forest boys, girls win track and field tri-meet

The Carolina Forest boys and girls track and field teams  scored big wins over St. James and Georgetown on Wednesday.

The Lady Panthers tallied 93 total points to outdistance St. James (43) and Georgetown (36), while the Carolina Forest boys (89) also blew out the Sharks (64) and Bulldogs (25).

The Carolina Forest boys swept the relay events and Aaron Williams led the Panthers’ sweep of the top four long jump spots.

Carolina Forest’s Jackie Brengel won the girls 1600 and 3200 meters to lead the Lady Panthers, while St. James’ Billy Krier won the same events on the boys’ side.

St. James’ Monica Smalls won the 100 meter hurdles and the long jump for the Lady Sharks. Georgetown’s Dee Williams won the girls 100 and 200 meter sprints.
