Cubs promote first Pelican; Rakkar to replace Peralta

The Chicago Cubs have promoted the first Pelicans player to Double-A. Myrtle Beach Pelicans right-handed pitcher Starling Peralta has been promoted to Double-A Tennessee. In a corresponding move, Class-A South Bend righty Jasvir Rakkar (pronounced JAZZ-veer rah-CAR) has been received by the Pelicans.
