CCU adds mid-year FBS Division I football transfers

CCULOGOCoastal Carolina head football coach Joe Moglia announced the addition of three mid-year transfers. The group includes two NCAA Division I FBS players – Daniel Anousheh (an offensive lineman from UAB) and Eric Church (a defensive back from Kent State) – as well as Austin Murillo, a defensive back from the junior college ranks.

Last name is pronounced (a-new-SHAY) … Is a rising senior and will have one year of eligibility remaining at Coastal Carolina after transferring from the University of Alabama-Birmingham … 2014 (Jr.): Served as the primary backup at left tackle and saw action in three games … At Antelope Valley: Played two seasons … Named to the All-California Region V first team in 2013 … Quartz Hill HS: In addition to playing football, also wrestled, played basketball and was a member of the track & field teams.

Is a rising sophomore after spending two seasons at Kent State and will have three years of eligibility at Coastal Carolina … 2014 (RFr.): Played in all 11 games and registered eight tackles, including two at Ohio State and three at Virginia … 2013 (Fr.): Redshirted … At Timber Creek HS: Ranked 44th on the New Jersey Star-Ledger Top 50 … Second team All-South Jersey pick and third team All-Group 4 … Helped Timber Creek to back-to-back state and conference championships in 2011 and 2012 … Recorded a combined 106 tackles, four interceptions 16 pass break-ups, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and three rushing touchdowns in his junior and senior seasons … Also an all-conference selection in basketball and an academic all-state selection.

Is a rising junior after playing two seasons at College of the Canyons and will have two seasons of eligibility with the Chanticleers … 2014 (So.): First team All-Southern California Football Association … Ranked second on the team with 63 total tackles, while also registering a three TFL, a sack, two interceptions, four pass break-ups and a fumble recovery … Helped the Cougars (8-1, 5-0) beat Cerritos College for the Southern California Football Association Northern Division title, getting an interception in the title game … 2013 (Fr.): All-Southern California Football Association as he compiled 43 tackles, including six for losses, with two interceptions, five PBU and two fumble recoveries … High School: 2012 first team All-CIF Southern Section Northern Division and All-Foothill League after registering six interceptions and 33 tackles … Tallied 61 stops and three picks as a junior.
