Coastal Carolina University football equipment coordinator Wilson Beaver was arrested Friday for allegedly forging false documents and embezzling money from the school.
Wilson Beaver, who has been with the Chanticleers since its inaugural season in 2003, allegedly forged the signatures of fellow football staff members on per diem meal vouchers during the team’s road trips and pocketed the cash.
Beaver, 32, of Myrtle Beach faces 11 charges of forgery for less than $5,000 and five charges of embezzlement of public funds for less than $5,000. He posted bond of $7,500 and he was released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 12:57 p.m.
