ccuhoops-22dunkThe Coastal Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams open practice this week, and fans will get their first chance to get a glimpse of the 2014-15 squads on Monday, Oct. 20.

CCU’s Hoopla, a free celebration to tip off the new basketball season, will be held at The HTC Center. The festivities will begin at 10:30 p.m., and the doors will open at 10:15 p.m.

Students and fans are strongly encouraged to attend. Free pizza and drinks will be provided for the first 100 fans in attendance, while students will have a chance to scan their CINO cards to earn points when entering the arena. Homecoming points will also be awarded for those participating in the week-long Homecoming festivities.

Hoopla will feature several contests involving students and members of the Coastal Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as an autograph session following the event’s programming.
