Girls Wrapup: Center Point runs past MB in CresCom

Center Point (AL) used a 12-0 run midway through the second half to pull away from a pesky Myrtle Beach team in Tuesday’s first round of the CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Gabrielle Holston, who scored a game-high 19 points and also grabbed nine rebounds, made a three-point play the old fashioned way to give the Lady Eagles a 34-20 advantage with only 7 minutes left on the clock.

Myrtle Beach, which led by as many as six points in the first half, was carried by senior Tanisha Brown’s double-double with a team-high 17 points and game-high 10 rebounds. Her teammates totaled only 15 points.
