Chants to host SEC tourney champ Ole Miss in 2013-14

For the third consecutive season, the Coastal Carolina men’s basketball team will be playing host to a major conference opponent in 2013-14.

Although the Chanticleers have not officially released their upcoming schedule, SEC Tournament champion Ole Miss announced its slate for next season. The Rebels will play at the new HTC Center on Nov. 16.

Coastal played host to LSU of the Southeastern Conference in 2011-12, when the Chants were supposed to be opening the delayed HTC Center. They knocked off the Tigers 71-63 at Kimbel Arena.

The Chants welcomed Clemson of the Atlantic Coast Conference to the brand-new HTC Center last season and dominated the Tigers to the tune of a 69-46 score.

Coastal hopes to make it a three-peat when the Rebels come to town Nov. 16. Ole Miss, which won the SEC Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 behind returning star Marshall Henderson, beat Coastal 90-72 last year in Oxford, MS.

Tickets are not yet for sale but Coastal is expected to release its final schedule and ticket information in the near future.
