Chiefs fall in semifinals to Wando at Coach Trap Duals

The North Myrtle Beach wrestling team advanced to the semifinals of the Battery Creek High Coach Trap Duals with a pair of wins on Friday but suffered a 43-24 loss to Wando on Saturday.

The Chiefs routed James Island Charter School 61-10 in the first round, then defeated West Oak 37-26 in the quarterfinals to reach the final four of the prestigious tournament.

Tyler Stump (126) and Mikhail Vlahos (195) scored pins for the Chiefs in both matches, and Christian Coppola (106), Steven Small (120), William Lewis (132), Gerodie Graham (160), Hampton Harmon (170), Eric Baker (182) and Harrison Smith (220) won both of their matches.
