Track & Field: NMB, CF run away with tri-meet sweeps

nmbtf-relayboysThe North Myrtle Beach High boys track and field team improved to 2-0 on the season by winning a tri-meet Thursday night at Waccamaw.

The final race of the night saw the Chiefs’ 4×400 relay team outlast the Warriors as a pair of eighth graders – Tyler Edwards and Jareh Piggott – took advantage of a great first leg by junior Derrion Conyers and got the baton to anchor Dondre Thompson in time to cruise to the victory.

The Chiefs will be back in action Monday evening at Carolina Forest.
