Divas invade North Myrtle Beach this weekend

Don’t be alarmed if you are out this coming Sunday morning and see an invasion of pink clad, boa and tiara wearing runners invading North Myrtle Beach.

The Divas Race series is making its annual visit to the Grand Strand this Friday April 26th through Sunday April 28th. This will be the third time the race series has come to North Myrtle Beach.  It is one of six races in the Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series along with San Juan, PR, San Francisco Bay, CA, DC’s Wine Country, VA, Long Island, NY and SoCal, CA.  It is surely a spectacle and one of the most glamorous and fun running events in the US. It’s guaranteed great people watching, that will be sure to put a smile on your face.  We are very lucky to have the race series visit our community and bring almost 6,000 runners to the area.

There will be a health and fitness boutique on Friday and Saturday, along with a 5K (3.1) and the half marathon (13.1) on Sunday morning starting at 7am.   The boutique will feature both local vendors and national companies showcasing running and fitness related gear.

Check out all the event details of this exciting event at: www.runlikeadiva.com

If you are participating good luck, if not go out and cheer them on.  This race is a popular event for first time racers of both distances and they will greatly appreciate your support.  Its also amazing that watching an event like this can give you some extra motivation to get yourself in gear.  Who knows, maybe next year you could be a part of the pink invasion, you always did look good in a Tiara : )

If by chance pink is not your color, we also have many local races coming up in the next few weeks to get you moving.
