conghoops-23jThe Conway High girls remained undefeated in Region 6-5A play with a 41-33 victory over visiting Sumter on Tuesday night.

Conway’s Zakera Chadmon posted another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and she added five steals and five assists to her impressive stat line.

Teammate Neci Hemingway dominated the glass with a game-high 17 rebounds and eight points, and Laneajha Evans matched Chadmon’s game-high of 12 points.

Conway (8-4 overall, 2-0 region) faces West Florence on Thursday looking to remain atop the region standings.

* Carolina Forest 65, South Florence 23: The Lady Panthers (10-4, 2-0) started road region play in convincing fashion with a blowout win over the Lady Bruins.

Alexis Tomlin led Carolina Forest with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds with three blocks. Ellen Nardella chipped in 20 points, including six 3-pointers and six rebounds. Cheyenne Pyles added eight points and nine assists.
