The senior was ranked No. 1 in the state in the Class AAAA 160-pound class and led the Panthers to the region title.

Boy’s basketball:

The junior guard averaged 20 points per game and led the Sharks to the Class AAA playoffs.

North Myrtle Beach
Girls Basketball:

The junior came back from early health issues to average a double-double in points and rebounds in 10 games.

Carolina Forest
Basketball:

The senior made the All-Region VI-AAAA team and helped the Panthers to the region championship.

 


Codi Rothermel
St. James
Wrestling:

The senior spent much of the season ranked No. 1 in the Class AAA 138-pound class and he helped the Sharks to a Lower State runner-up finish

 


Jonathan Kinsey
Coastal Carolina
Running:

The 27-year-old Coastal student finished fifth in the Myrtle Beach Marathon with a personal best time of 2:41:17.

North Myrtle Beach
Wrestling:

The junior finished fourth in the Class AAA state tournament in the 182-pound class.

 


Khadijah Sessions
Myrtle Beach
Girls Basketball:

The senior averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds per game and was named the Class AAA Player of the Year.

 


Patrick Sullivan
Coastal Aquatic Club
Swimming:

Won six events and finished runner-up in two more to capture the Boys 11-12 overall title at the 2012 state championships.

Wrestling:

The junior qualified for the Class AAA state tournament in the 120-pound division.

Kirstin Zanardo
Socastee
Girls Basketball:

The junior transferred back to Socastee after a year away to help the Lady Braves to the Class AAA playoffs.
