MB’s Gordon named girls region player of the year

mbgsoc-tristinMyrtle Beach High sophomore Tristan Gordon was named the Player of the Year and Blair Mueller was named Coach of the Year in the All-Region 7-3A Girls Soccer awards.

The Lady Seahawks, who earned the region championship and are currently ranked No. 4 in the state, claimed seven spots on the first team, while runner-up North Myrtle Beach took four first-team positions. St. James’ Haley Brandon rounded out the top squad.

The Class 3A girls soccer playoffs kick off Monday night with No. 4 Lakewood at No. 1 Myrtle Beach, No. 3 Manning at No. 2 North Myrtle Beach, and No. 3 St. James at No. 2 Crestwood.
