NMB pins Stall, LR for trip to Lower State semifinals

The North Myrtle Beach High wrestling team is headed to the Lower State semifinals following a pair of wins in Saturday’s SCHSL state wrestling duals.

Hosting the first two rounds by virtue of their Region 7-4A championship, the Chiefs advanced to the third round in dominating fashion by defeating Stall 58-18 in the opener and downing Lower Richland 71-6 in the second round.

North Myrtle Beach’s heavyweights – Malachi Black (220) and Kwame Livingston (285) led the Chiefs with a pair of pins, and middleweights Jackie Gore (138) and Tanner Collins (145) earned won their matches by pins and tech falls.

North Myrtle Beach travels to Cane Bay on Monday at 6 p.m. for the third round.
