Turnabout was fair play for the North Myrtle Beach High girls basketball team, which flipped the script on rival Carolina Forest on Tuesday night.
After suffering a one-point loss to the Lady Panthers last week at the Black Hole, the Lady Chiefs claimed a 57-56 victory over the visitors in the rematch.
North Myrtle Beach jumped out to a commanding 31-17 lead at halftime but had to hold off a hard charge in the second half. Carolina Forest cut the deficit to 43-35 entering the fourth quarter and closed within one before the Lady Chiefs slammed the doors.
North Myrtle Beach’s Jenna Berger scored a team-high 18 points and twin sister Jordan Berger added 12 points. Daveona Hatchell scored 16 points.
Carolina Forest was led by Cheyenne Pyles-Moultrie with 21 points and Alexis Tomlin scored 20 points.
