Ella Speir led Riptides with 3 new SC State q-times in the 100-backstroke, 100-freestyle and 500-freestyle. Hannah McDonough picked up the event win in the 50 breaststroke.

Nearly every swimmer attending earned at least one personal best time including Sadie Averitt, Emma Kinmartin, Mason Kinmartin, Caroline Lyons, Jessica Lyons, Olivia Lyons, Kylie McWhorter, Kyle Owens, Madera Palmer, Sterigos Paraschos, Marissa Patricio and Michaela Quiroga-Diaz Betts.  Sawyer Averitt and Jack Guthinger rounded out the squad to Charleston.

The final meet of the calendar year for Riptides Racing Team was the Carolina Classic at the University of SC.  More than 20 Riptides members participated in the prelims/Finals’ formatted meet.  For Riptides, more than 100 personal best times were achieved, as were 10 new SC Swimming q-times, 4 new Age-group Sectional Championship q-times and 5 new team records.  Riptides also placed in the Top-10 forty-eight times with 5 events wins.
