SJ’s Bray, MB’s Edwards at top of All-Region 7-4A list

Following a near-miss bid to the Class 4A state championship series, St. James baseball coach Robbie Centracchio was named the Coach of the Year and pitcher Nick Bray earned co-Player of the Year honors on the All-Region 7-4A team.

Bray, who also was voted the Mammy’s Kitchen Athlete of the Week,  shared Player of the Year honors with Myrtle Beach’s Luke Edwards as the Sharks, Seahawks and Chiefs dominated the all-region roster.

St. James placed a league-high nine players on the all-region squad, followed closely by North Myrtle Beach with eight and Myrtle Beach with seven. The teams finished first, second and third in the region, respectively.
