Socastee’s Renfrows top list of region football honorees

Clear off another shelf on the Renfrow family trophy case; there are two big pieces of hardware on the way.

Socastee junior quarterback Hunter Renfrow was named the Region 7-3A Player of the Year and father and coach Tim Renfrow was named the Coach of the Year for the undefeated region champion Braves.

Runner-up Myrtle Beach won the rest of the top honors, with receiver/defensive back Trell Harrell named Athlete of the Year, receiver/wildcat QB CJ Cooper the Offensive Player of the Year and linebacker Octavius “OT” Thomas the Defensive Player of the Year.
