The Myrtle Beach softball team captured its 10th win of the season Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over Barrbarton (OH) in the Grand Strand Softball Classic.
Myrtle Beach pitcher Carly Grace Bodge picked up the win on the mound by hurling a three-hitter, her second of the week.
At the plate, Madison Needle went 2 for 3 and scored the first run of the game. Lindsey Coble and Cayce Roberts came up big with RBI singles.
The Lady Seahawks improve to 2-1 in the tournament and 10-3 on the season. They return to action Thursday against Liberty (WV).
* Carolina Forest 8, Cleveland (OH) St. Joseph 4: The Lady Panthers pounded out 17 hits to hammer their way past the visitors from Ohio.
Abi Price (two RBIs), Desi Santos (two RBIs) and Karley Bryant collected three hits apiece, and pitcher Catie McGovern went the distance and struck out seven for the win.
