St. James rides pins to win over North Myrtle Beach

sjwrestle-nmbFresh off its title in Saturday’s Horry/Georgetown County Wrestling Championships on Saturday, St. James claimed a key region victory over North Myrtle Beach 41-27 on Tuesday.

St. James’ Dalton Smith (113), Brandon Ellis (138), Michael Mewhorter (145), Spencer Deegan (182), Charles Pedersen (220) and Aaron Foster (285) earned six-point pins in their weight divisions, while Curtis Wolfe (170) and Marcelous Livingston (195) got pins for the Chiefs.

St. James Tyler Wiggins claimed a major decision over Brandon Reisen, who wrestled up one division at 126. Ross Miller (152) came out on top with a 10-8 decision over Brennan Michael, and Mackenzie Tecco (106) earned a forfeit for the Sharks.

North Myrtle Beach’s Codie Aubie (132) also won a major decision, and Rahsaan Vereen (160) scored a 4-3 decision. Ismael El Bouathmani (120) won via forfeit to round out the Chiefs’ scoring.
