Tennis: Socastee, Myrtle Beach roll to region wins

socgtennis-smashThe Socastee High girls tennis team opened a hectic week of region play in impressive fashion, sweeping host Sumter 6-0 on Monday, the first of four consecutive days of region matches.

The Lady Braves (9-3 overall, 7-0 Region 6-4A) remained undefeated in the league by winning all five singles matches and No. 2 doubles in straight sets.

Socastee faces Carolina Forest on Tuesday, South Florence on Wednesday and West Florence on Thursday in an effort to complete a clean sweep to the region schedule.
