Three NMB wrestlers go unbeaten at Wildcat Duels

The North Myrtle Beach wrestling team went a so-so 3-3 at the Wildcat Duels in Lexington on Friday and Saturday, but the experience the Chiefs received by competing in the talented field was far from average.

North Myrtle Beach defeated Westside 48-30 and Laurens 59-22 on Friday but lost to Lugoff-Elgin 57-24 and River Bluff 48-24. On Saturday, the Chiefs beat White Knoll 51-27 and lost to Fort Mill 50-27 to cap a big weekend of tough competition with teams and individuals they will likely see in the state tournament.

North Myrtle Beach had three wrestlers go undefeated by posting perfect 6-0 marks. Kwame Livingston pinned every opponent he faced in the 285-pound class, while teammates Stephon Wilson (182) and Curtis Wolfe (195) used a mix of pins and decisions to also got 6-0.

The Chiefs return to action Tuesday against Berkeley and Marion. Results from the Wildcat Duels are listed below:
