Lady Chanticleers sign two to National Letters of Intent

The Coastal Carolina women’s basketball team has signed Ressa Borkovich and Megan Pittman to National Letters of Intent, head coach Alan LeForce announced Tuesday.

“Ressa and Megan are two really good talents and they will fit very well into our program,” LeForce said.  “They are two more players to add to the talent we already have and they will complement our program very well.”

Borkovich is a 6-2 senior forward/center at Traverse City West High School in Traverse City, Mich.  As a junior, Borkovich averaged 7.1 points and 3.1 boards per game for the Titans. During the 2011 AAU season, Borkovich helped lead her Toledo Elite squad, which was coached by former NBA standout Steve Mix, to a 34-8 record.  Additionally, the senior is a two-time All-State Academic team honoree and a member of the National Honor Society.

Pittman, a native of Liberty, Ky., is a 5-11 forward/center who attends Casey County High School.  Pittman has scored 1,800 points and pulled down 1,044 rebounds in just over two seasons for the Rebels.  She has averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the floor over her career.  Last season, Pittman returned from an injury and averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game over 13 games.
