Boys Lacrosse: Four make All-State; 13 All-Lower State

Four Horry County Schools boys lacrosse players earned All-State honors, and a total of 13 claimed All-Lower State accolades.

In Class 4A, St. James placed a pair of players on second team All-State, Thomas Atchison and Josh Marlow, for leading the Sharks to the second round of the playoffs. They also made first team All-Lower State, and three teammates made second team All-Lower State – Brandon Mitchell, Tyler Burgess and Devin Carey.

Myrtle Beach’s Tyler Flannelly and Hadou Slimani also made second team All-Lower State for helping the Seahawks qualify for the playoiffs for the first time in the proigram’s four-year history.

In Class 5A, Socastee’s Connor Maxley and Carolina Forest’s Patrick Daly captured second team All-State honors. They also made second team All-Lower State, along with Socastee’s Griffin Byers, Kevin Hernandez and Ben Whitt and Carolina Forest’s Kaidon Hunt.
