CAC swimmers post hot times at Snowflake Invite

The Coastal Aquatic Club (CAC) spent the weekend in Rock Hill for the 2018 Rays Snowflake Invite hosted by the Upper Palmetto YMCA Swim Club.

The event started on Friday evening with the threat of freezing rain, sleet, or snow arriving sometime over the weekend. Ultimately, freezing rain and sleet arrived Sunday morning as temperatures hovered around 32 degrees all day Sunday. The Sunday afternoon session was cancelled to ensure safe travels for swim families heading home.

The Snowflake Invite brought together approximately 600 swimmer representing swim clubs from South Carolina (Aiken, Clemson, Columbia, Florence, Mount Pleasant, Myrtle Beach, Rock Hill, Spartanburg, and Sumter) and North Carolina (Charlotte). CAC had 36 swimmers in the water this weekend with 19 swimmers (over half the meet team) combining for 35 TOP FIVE finishes.
