Hoops: Sharks claim first region win over Panthers

A big win for the St. James boys basketball team could prove to be an even bigger loss for Carolina Forest.

St. James scored 23 points in the fourth period to earn its first region victory behind Deondray Stanfield’s 17 points. Austin Werba had 11 points and Candido Ortiz-Robles III had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jeremiah Nesbitt and Chris Anderson both had 9 points each.
