MB Track and Field Club flies high at Florence meet

The Myrtle Beach Track & Field Club combined boys and girls team scored 181 points to finish third out of nine clubs that competed in the Carolina Gold Classic at Georgetown HS on Saturday.

T’Mars McCallum led the Myrtle B each Track & Field and was named the Boys 15-16 Meet Outstanding Performer. He won the long jump and placed second in the high jump and triple jump.

Despite a weather delay and cancellation of a few events, team members combined for many solid performances. Individual point scorers included:

Club athletes have a final tune up meet in Columbia on Saturday before the USA Track & Field SC Junior Olympic Championships are contested June 21-23 on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill.
