Monday Wrapup: MB gets wins in softball, golf, tennis

The Myrtle Beach softball team knocked off North Myrtle Beach 5-1 on Monday, putting itself in the mix for the Region 7-4A title. The Seahawks, St. James and North Myrtle Beach all split their season series, creating a first-place logjam at the top of the standings.

Myrtle Beach’s Cayce Roberts was perfect at the plate, going 4 for 4 with two runs scored. McKenzie Coble went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Dakota Hansen went 2 for 3 with an RBI lead the Lady Seahawks. Carly Grace Bodge picked up the win on the mound.

The Lady Seahawks return to action Tuesday against Marlboro County with a chance to lock up the second seed and a first-round playoff game.
