Six MBTFC athletes make National Junior Olympics

The Myrtle Beach Track & Field Club was represented by 16 athletes at the USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, held July 4–7 on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill.

Competing against qualifiers from Georgia and Florida, the following individuals placed in the Top 5 of their respective event, earning the privilege of advancing to the USATF Hershey’s National Junior Olympic Championships in Sacramento, CA, on July 22–28:

* Savannah Jordan finished 2nd in the girls 15-16 Javelin with a throw of 30.23m
* Keniah Wallace finished 3rd in the girls 17-18 100m Dash with a time of 12.24 sec (1st in Prelims in PR of 12.03 sec)
* Sam Jordan finished 4th in the boys 13-14 Triple Jump with a distance of 8.23m
* Collins McCallum finished 5th in the boys 13-14 110 M Hurdles in a time of 20.42 sec PR
* TJ McCallum finished 5th in the boys 15-16 Long Jump with a distance of 5.77m
* Nicolaus Reddick finished 4th in the boys 17-18 Long Jump with a distance of 5.83m

The MBTFC congratulates all on a successful season and wishes the Jordan and Wallace families the best of luck as they represent the MBTFC in Sacramento.
