The Carolina Forest volleyball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 3-0 sweep over visiting South Florence on Tuesday.
Following a hard-fought, five-set tiebreaker defeat against North Myrtle Beach, the Lady Panthers (11-1 overall, 3-0 Region 6-4A) got back on the winning track by defeating the Lady Bruins by scores of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-6.
Leading for the way for the Lady Panthers were Kenzlie Andresen with 10 kills and two blocks, and Julie McKinney with 15 service points and 18 assists.
* Myrtle Beach 3, St. James 0: The Lady Seahawks beat the Lady Sharks by scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-13 to stay unbeaten in Region 7-3A play.
Dani Hix led Myrtle Beach with 25 assists, and Gracie Davis had 12 kills .
* Socastee 3, Conway 0: The Lady Braves defeated the Lady Tigers 25-14, 25-13, and 25-13 to stay undefeated in Region 6-4A play.
Socastee’s Katelynn Hine had three aces and 30 assists and Mary D Guest had 14 kills and four acres. The Lady Braves will play another league game Thursday night against Carolina Forest.
* Christian Academy 3, Dillon Christian 0: The Lady Saints won by scores of 25-10, 25-7 and 25-12 to sweep Dillon Christian. Natalie Markley has 10 assists and six aces, and Julia Markley and Katya Durocher made four kills apiece.
